InstarVision 2 - Push Notification Delay on Motion Events

Hello

I have been using the InstarVision 2 Surveillance Station app on both Android and iOS to monitor multiple INSTAR cameras. Everything is working smoothly in terms of video feed & motion detection recording. :slightly_smiling_face:

However; I’ve noticed a consistent delay (sometimes up to 30 seconds or more) in receiving push notifications after a motion event is triggered. This delay reduces the effectiveness of the real-time alert system, especially when monitoring entrances / high-security areas. :upside_down_face:

I have already confirmed that the motion event is being logged immediately on the camera’s SD card and through the web interface, so the issue seems to be with the notification relay between the camera, InstarVision server & the mobile app. I’ve also ensured that the app has all necessary permissions and is excluded from battery optimization settings.

Has anyone else encountered this delay? I would appreciate any insights on whether this is a known server-side limitation / if there are tweaks that can be done to reduce the lag.
Checked https://wiki.instar.com/en/Frequently_Asked_Question/Push_Notification/ guide for reference .

It would be great if INSTAR could consider adding an option to choose between direct LAN notifications (local push within Wi-Fi) and cloud-based push for faster alerts.

Thank you!! :slightly_smiling_face:
